My name is Lyndell and I’d like to welcome you to my blog. I have a new company name. We are now Classon Designs.
Art has always been a part of my life and in my blood. As a child, I remember watching my father painting watercolour scenes and making toys in his workshop. After graduating and receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Allison University and a brief stint as a research assistant I decided to follow in my father’s artistic footsteps, and left sciences to study design and production at Ryerson Polytechnic Institute in Toronto.
Ten years ago, I started designing miniature figurines and gnomes. A friend asked if she could have a pendant that resembled one of my orca figurines. Then I started selling my figurines and pendants at local craft shows and outdoor markets, but at the urging of many customers I developed my Etsy storefront. That was six years ago. Today, I am pleased to say, I have my own website.
I find inspiration everywhere for my designs. In my travels I always look for something new and unique that I can translate into a new pendant. My creations are sculpted from polymer clay: tough, long lasting and colourful.
